Thanks For My Axis A22

Greg from the Axis Wake Research (@AxisWake) Dealer in Alabama, Skier's Marine, forwarded us this great email from Axis A22 owner, Seth Joseph.

Greg, As you know I have owned my Axis A-22 for a few months now and I thought it was time to let you know how much I appreciate you turning me on to the Axis as well as just allowing me to be a part of your Skier's Marine family. As you know I have dealt with a few other boat dealers and have had some bad experiences which is one of the reasons that I came to see you and Rhett. I had heard from some other people how easy you guys were to work with and you definitely did not disappoint. From Sales to Service to even the Pro Shop you guys have made owning this boat so much more enjoyable simply for the fact of knowing that you have someone who is going to be there if a problem does come along and will do whatever they can to get you back out on the water as soon as possible. As for the boat, I couldn't be happier, and I guess it is showing on the hour meter, I have had the boat for about 5 months and am already well over 100 hours without as much as a hiccup. I just wanted you guys to know how much I appreciate you guys being the type of company that you are and I will definitely be a repeat customer and let anyone in the market for a boat know about you guys, and if you need to give my number to anyone who is wanting to hear from an Axis owner be sure and tell them to give me a call. Thanks Again!

Seth Joseph
Axis A22 Owner

Thank you, Seth. What a great email! We really appreciate you taking the time to send it. It is great to hear how happy you are with Skier's Marine and your A22. We are happy to have you a part of the Axis Wake Research Family.

Axis A22 Test Rides Winning Over Riders

Axis A22 Demo on Boone LakeChris Leeds emailed us after riding behind the Axis A22 (@AxisWake) on Boone Lake in Johnson City, Tennessee this past weekend. Chris's buddy Greg Lettich scheduled a test drive with CBK Watersports and invited Chris to check out the A22. Chris was at the lake with his Super Air Nautique 220 so he figured he would take a set behind the A22 to see what this price-point wakeboard boat was all about.

"I figured there was no way that a less expensive boat could throw a very good wake," Chris admitted to us. Chris and his wife met up with Greg on the lake and here's what he thought of the Axis A22 in his own words.

I rode over to the boat and it looked simple but really edgy. As I stood on the platform, my wife drove our boat over to park next to the Axis. While I could defiantly see the difference when it comes to bells and whistles, the Axis had everything you could need to ride all day long. The interior was super roomy compared to my Nautique which was the same length. I loved the bow space, that is my favorite interior feature.

That was all fine, but what really matters is the wake. So Greg set the rope length to 75 feet. The first thing I noticed was the wake was super clean. Not only where I was riding at 75' but way back. The first time I hit the wake was so smooth, but it kicked me way up. I had just gotten done riding behind my loaded 220 (2400lbs) and the Axis was defiantly bigger, cleaner, and more consistent. The wake was so much fun. I was really tired from riding a long set behind my boat, but I didn't want to quit.

I wasn't looking for a new boat, but that wake made me think about it.

What amazing compliments, Chris! Thank you so much for taking the time to try the A22 and then sending us this email. We hope to see you in an A22 real soon. Take care.

Greg Lettich's Axis A22 Test Drive Review

Greg Lettich scheduled an Axis A22 Drive N' Ride with CBK Watersports in Kingsport, TN on Boone Lake in Johnson City over the weekend. We heard from Greg on the Axis Wake Facebook page this morning. This is what he had to say:

Going from my I/O to this is no comparison. The Axis holds turns so well without feeling like it tips. It is so stable and solid. It is a well built boat and all the features are great. It has every option you would need and it’s at a price point everybody can respect. The boat has great manufacturing and it is backed by tried and true research for sure. I cannot wait to get mine ordered. The one I tested this weekend made me fall in love with this boat, from the 18s that hugged the road and gave so much response to the trailer lights that light up once the trailer hits the water. The boat is so roomy inside and the hidden ballast is so nice instead of walking over bags everywhere. The wake is something that just amazed me. It was so clean and never had hints of whitewash, even without balanced weight on the sides. I love the wake very much and will enjoy riding it for a long time. On a last note, I was unsure about the windshield at first and I have come to really like it and see the benefits of it. You are able to talk to your rider and able to grab the cleats on the side for docking. I absolutely think this is a great built boat and it rides like a dream. A+ to Axis wake Research! Cannot wait to get mine ordered!

Wow! We're so happy you liked it, Greg. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. Make sure you send us some pics when you take delivery of your A22.

Quicksilver & Axis Wake Together on a Lake Near You

Quiksilver Axis A22 at QS HeadquartersQuiksilver (@QuiksilverUSA) is promoting superior wake sport performance and individual expression with their new custom wrapped Axis Wake Research (@AxisWake) A22 wakeboard boat. These two companies have partnered to further their shared objectives of expanding a rider’s skill-set, pride and style regardless of budget. They plan to demonstrate this message by pulling distinctive pro rider Randall “The Vandall” Harris, (@ThisizVandall) behind the industry’s fastest growing value-class big wake boat brand. Next season look to catch a ride with the Quiksilver A22 and The Vandall on the water near you.

Keep up on the latest wake-related Quiksilver news with The Mountain and Wave Blog and check out Quiksilver A22 images on the Axis Wake flickr.com channel.

The Quiksilver/Axis Wake partnership came about the way many great joint ventures do - respected friends suggested the connection. Riding for both Quiksilver and Axis Wake Research, Vandall was informed of Quiksilver’s desire to obtain a performance-centric wakeboard boat that provides a good value. Corey Marotta of Alliance MultiMedia was also aware of Quiksilver’s quest for big wakes and style for a reasonable price. Both suggested the Axis A22 and the rest is history.

“We’re stoked to see these two brands come together and honored to be the conduit. The A22 is one of the best performing values in the wake boat market and with Quiksilver’s reach and brand history, this partnership offers both companies an amazing way to spread each of their messages. And at the center, is Vandall,” explained Marotta.

Adam McCall (@TajMcCall), Managing Director for Axis Wake Research, was excited to associate his new unique wake boat brand with a powerhouse like Quiksilver, but even more intrigued by the similarities in the two companies’ objectives. "Quiksilver and Axis Wake Research share an energy for improving the experiences of the sports we love.” McCall continued, “It's because of this mutual focus, that we look forward to collaborating on many projects within the board sports industry."

As one of the World’s largest boardsport companies, Quiksilver is dedicated to providing the gear that helps riders discover individuality and progress in water sports. Axis Wake Research shares this same commitment while at the same time bringing pride to the entry-level wakeboard boat buyer with big wakes, styling and a low price.

Blake Choate, Quiksilver Wake Team Manager, had this to say about the new Quicksilver/Axis partnership, “I’m super hyped on the partnership between Quiksilver and Axis. Quiksilver being one of the biggest boardsport companies, we were looking to partner up with a boat company with the best value and best wake. Axis was that company. We also share one of the top athletes in wakeboarding, Vandall. This made the marriage of the two companies seamless”.

It is this set of values that Quiksilver plans to demonstrate with Axis A22 and The Vandall on tour next summer. Stay tuned to Quiksilver’s Mountain and Wave Blog for stop dates and details. Or if you can’t wait to test the new Axis A22 wakeboard boat, log on to AxisWake.com and find your nearest dealer for a personal A22 Drive N’ Ride.

Axis Wakeboard Comp at Lake Hopatcong This Weekend

Axis Wake Research (@AxisWake)is sponsoring a wakeboard competition at Lake Hopatcong State Park in New Jersey this weekend. Ryan Sorensen of Axis Dealer Lake Hopatcong Marine is the man behind this event.

Ryan Sorensen of Lake Hopatcong abides by the philosophy of where there's a will there's a wake — wakeboard, that is.

Come Saturday, Sorenson and 100 other competitive wakeboarders will descend on Hopatcong State Park for the New Jersey Wakeboard Competition to raise adrenaline and funds for the Lake Hopatcong Commission/Lake Hopatcong Alliance.

"Without Lake Hopatcong, the Garden State Wakeoff would not exist so I figured the best thing to do would be to put the money back into the lake," Sorensen said.

Inspired by the boat races held at Hopatcong State Park, Sorensen wanted to bring a wakeboard awakening to the Northeast and provide riders a place to compete. Entry fees are $40 for kids and novices and $50 for more advanced boarders with all proceeds going toward the fundraiser.
